Lord, You Deserve My Thanks for...

21. My sweet little friends who love playing in the snow. So fun! =)

22. The beautiful music of wind chimes -- it reminds me of spring. It causes me to anticipate the day when it will be warm enough to open the windows, allowing the clean spring air to cleanse our stuffy house and set the wind chimes singing! Forty-degree temperatures will feel glorious. I long to see water drip-dropping from roofs, creating crystal-clear puddles all around. And what joy 'twill be to hear the notes of songbirds as they break the winter silence! (thrilled sigh) Although the snow in the Arctic has not yet had even the slightest notion of melting, nor will it for many weeks more...

There is springtime in my soul today
For when the Lord is near,
The dove of peace sings in my heart,
The flow'rs of grace appear.

23. Precious time to daily redeem; time not to spend in selfish, frivolous pursuits but to invest in by serving the Lord. I have been very foolish in my accountability of that investment. Praise God that I can buy it back by living for my Master! (Notice anything odd about the time below? =D So funny!)

24. My brother's happy birthday last week. He is becoming such a fine young man and I'm thankful the Lord gave him to my family. He is respectful, hard-working, and thoughtful. His biggest thrills are WWII aircraft and Civil War history. And chocolate cake with chocolate-cream cheese-peanut butter frosting. Yummy!

25. The good health my family and I enjoy. Oh, the Lord is good to us. For my growing knowledge of the incredible herbs You created specifically for our bodies' healing.

26. The knowledge of You, the LORD JEHOVAH, the True Light, my Buckler, the Horn of my salvation, the Resurrection and the Life, the Health of my countenance, Wonderful, my Shepherd, through the study of Your holy, inspired, preserved, precious written Word.

27.  Reminders of the swiftly approaching union of a dear sister in Christ and her fine, godly young man. For the encouragement I have received from their pure, loyal, uncompromising, God-ordained courtship. It shines undimmed and untarnished to glorify God. You both are appreciated and prayed for as you follow the Lord's will.

28. Six weeks... a time shortening in length we pass through each day on the calender. Six weeks, and I will be with my much-missed loved ones! Their dear faces I have not seen in three years. I will be with them so soon. Thank You, Lord!

29. Provision for great needs. That the pulpit will be filled by godly Baptist preachers during our furlough this summer. The Lord's work will continue! I'm eager to see what He has in store.

30. Taking God's wrathful judgment of my sinfulness upon Your sinless Self, O Lamb of God. For carrying my sins to the grave. For rising triumphant over my sin and its wages. For saving a wretch like me -- wayward, so proud and selfish, so undevoted to the One who loved me and gave Himself for me. That, although I am hopeless in and of myself, I am not without help. That Your victorious resurrection gives me power to live in victory for you day by day. "O what a salvation this, that Christ liveth in me!" The Resurrection and the Life liveth in me! In Him, I have "all sufficiency in all things" (II Cor. 9:8). Praise God, Christ arose and ever liveth!!!

Jesus said unto her,
I am the resurrection, and the life
he that believeth in me, though he were dead,
yet shall he live: And whosoever
liveth and believeth in me
shall never die.
Believest thou this?
