The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:
and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Proverbs 9:10
An acorn cannot even begin to grow into a mighty oak tree until it has been planted in the soil. So, a man cannot even begin to be wise until he has learned to first fear the LORD.
